Title: 911 Dispatcher Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire Setting: 911 Center / Emergency Services Location: Frisco, CO Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours weekly – schedule can include nights, weekends, overnights, and holidays. Pay: $31 - $36/hr depending on experience plus a retention bonuses totaling $15,000 and an excellent benefits package!
The 911 Dispatcher’s duties to include but not be limited to:
-Receive, analyze & prioritize incoming radio traffic, phone calls and computer-generated calls of emergent and non-emergent nature; ascertains the nature of each situation and appropriately dispatches all necessary personnel and apparatus according to jurisdiction and specific standard operating procedures. -Effectively utilize a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system to prioritize calls, record incident details & identify the status and location of responders in the field. -Performing Emergency Medical Dispatch when appropriate and giving lifesaving instructions over the phone to callers. -Access a secure, nationwide database to look up confidential records for responders, including driver and vehicle registration statuses & warrants. Using the same system, will enter and maintain warrants in the national crime database.
REQUIREMENTS: -Accurate typing speed of at least 30 words per minute. -Must be able to pass a criminal background check. -High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
