Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Staff SW Test Engineer (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to 
•    Design and build scalable automated test frameworks and test suites working across technologies. 
•    Apply automation towards database testing including designing, creating, and manipulating test data. 
•    Influence Engineering, Test and Product teams by evangelizing best practices that help take the quality of all products to the next level. 
•    Take ownership of one or more aspects of the Test and Automation Engineering Strategy and vision for the Risk-as a Service platform. 
•    Work closely with Engineering and Business stakeholders to communicate impacts by thoroughly understanding business requirements. 
•    Liaise with internal business and IT groups (such as database administration, infrastructure support, development) in performing support activities, system configuration and standard functional analysis. 
•    Design and build Continuous Integration and Delivery pipeline by integrating automation routines. 
•    Position reports to the Employer’s Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Staff SW Test Engineer-related occupation.  
• Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-oriented Programming, Operating Systems, and DBM 
• Quality Assurance processes and methodologies 
• Testing and building automation tests for complex applications 
• Java and/or JavaScript 
• MySQL or SQL Server 
• Selenium, Groovy, or JMeter 
• Eclipse, IntelliJ, or Visual Studio Code 
• Jenkins, GIT, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes and/or Maven

Additional Information

Worksite: Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $106,700.00 USD to $170,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
