WE'RE HIRING ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICE SPECIALIST FOR CLACKAMAS COUNTY (MULTIPLE POSITIONS) 

Salary Range: $4,536.00 - $6,952.00

Closing date:  May 26, 2024

Location: Clackamas County

Aging and People with Disabilities (APD), part of the Oregon Department of Human Services, is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals for Adult Protective Service Investigators in one of our Clackamas County offices. 

After a successful initial training period of 6 (six) months at the Oregon City office these individuals may be eligible to work out of any of the 4 (four) APD offices in Clackamas County: Canby, Estacada, Milwaukie, or Oregon City.  

YOUR DUTIES AT A GLANCE: 

  • This position receives, screens and investigates reports concerning abuse, neglect and exploitation committed against older adults and adults with physical disabilities. Investigations occur in community-based long term care facilities and the community at large. 

  • Investigators will also provide plans of safety and prevention to mitigate current and/or future incidents of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.  Investigators make referrals and/or work with community partners as components of Adult Protective Services.

WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS(MQ’s):

A Bachelor's Degree in the human, social, behavioral or criminal sciences and two years human service, law enforcement or investigative experience;

OR

An Associate's Degree in the human, social, behavioral or criminal sciences and four years human service, law enforcement or investigative experience.

Three years professional level experience related to the position may substitute for the Bachelor's degree; 18 months for an Associates.
