Position Overview

Join us in our fast-paced support to the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. We are seeking a Tranche 1 Lead Test Engineer to oversee space vendor calibration, payload test and checkount and orbit raising activities. Specific duties include:

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead test engineer with oversight and insight of vendor launch and early operations/verification on-orbit testing activities.
• Leads development of functional on-orbit test plan and procedures and acts as test director for functional on-orbit testing for space vehicles
• Oversees development of the detailed testing approach in accordance with Enterprise strategy.
• Develops test plans, procedures, and approvals.
• Coordinates test execution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or relevant technical discipline
• 10 years directly related exp
• Technical and analytic understanding of satellite testing processes
• Understanding of satellite acquisition and operations technology best practices
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing detailed test plans
• Strong written and oral communications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
