A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As the Manufacturing Engineering Technician 3, you will help lead our maintenance team in installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment. You will also perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment, carry out preventative maintenance, troubleshoot faulty machinery and diagnose the root cause of the malfunction using diagnostic tools and problem-solving abilities. These activities will all involve close collaboration with other mechanical maintenance technicians and production workers. In this role, you will report to the Sr Manager, Equipment Maintenance

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Support the manufacturing floor. Respond for unscheduled equipment issues and perform all PM requirements.
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, validation and troubleshooting functions.
  • Assist in the construction and debugging of test equipment.
  • Performs operational test and fault isolation on test equipment.
  • Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy equipment malfunctions and PM requirements.
  • Uses manufacturing test, development or diagnostic equipment which may require some software skills.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and assists in the analyzing of data/records for improvement opportunities.

Skills You Bring:

  • An AA degree, military technical training, equivalent vocational training, or related experience.
  • 2 - 4+ years' experience in a technician role, assisting with fabrication, modification, repair and/or maintenance.
  • Some skills with electronics, electro-mechanical systems, pneumatic or hardware troubleshooting.
  • Ability to collect and analyze basic experimental data and effectively communicate results.
  • Demonstrated work experience with MS Office products. Candidate must be comfortable with MS Excel, Word and Outlook at a minimum.
  • Experience with vacuum systems is a plus.
