System Engineer (Data Protection) – Remote

What you’ll do:

As a System Engineer (Data Protection), you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring the protection, replication, retention and availability of our data.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build, design, and troubleshoot data protection systems/tools, seeking efficiencies through automation.
  • Provide level 3 support for issue resolution from ServiceNow, triaging and documenting as needed.
  • Design, implement, and maintain data protection strategies using Commvault backup software at an enterprise level.
  • Offer advanced technical support for data protection issues related to Commvault, Veeam, Zerto, and Commvault Metallic.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-based backup solutions using Commvault Metallic, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Administer Zerto's replication and backup software to enhance data protection infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate Commvault solutions within Google Cloud environments.
  • Monitor and optimize backup and replication processes to meet SLAs and compliance requirements.

What you’ll need:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications/Licensures: Relevant certifications (e.g. Commvault Certified Professional) are preferred but not required
