The Opportunity:

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Quality Engineer II to optimize our Avantor Fluid Handling organization. This Devens, MA based role is full-time, on-site.

Minimum Education:

  • Highschool diploma with 7 + years equivalent work experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Required Experience (three+ years):

  • Initiating, investigating, supporting quality events, complaints, CAPA's and SCARS.
  • Coordinating and maintaining customer complaint & CAPA management system as well as validations for all departments, along with the Calibration Program and the Environmental Monitoring Program.
  • Writing and implementing methods and procedures for supporting the quality management system.
  • Reviewing and approving quality assurance procedures and reports.
  • Coordinating the implementation of process controls to support manufacturing operations.
  • Reviewing and approving methods and procedures for supporting the quality management system.
  • Participating in investigation, resolution, and prevention of product and process non-conformances.
  • Providing validation support.
  • Participating in audits (both internal and supplier) and supporting compliance with applicable Regulatory Quality System standards.
  • Participating in supporting quality decisions.
  • Supporting, coordinating and maintaining service provider qualifications and monitoring.
  • Conducting root cause analysis investigations and performing risk assessment and evaluations to identify appropriate corrective action.
  • Conducting quality assurance tests and performing statistical analysis to assess the level of control as well as manage product quality risks.
  • Employing quality engineering tools and techniques to develop, align and optimize systems and processes.
  • Ensuring cleanliness of work areas.
  • Following applicable safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements
  • Experience working in ERP system.
  • Experience working in eQMS.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Collaboration tools (IE: Microsoft Access).
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Standard.

Preferred Experience:

  • Advanced project management skills
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)/Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification
  • Lean methodologies
  • Creating, developing, and executing protocols, method transfer and training programs preferred.
  • Training
  • Inspection tools and techniques.
