Position Summary
The Invasive Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist will utilize a combination of training, assessment and technical skills in the accomplishment of their duties in the Cath Labs. The level I Cath Lab tech is require to scrub and assist in the performance of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
The position requires the use of hemodynamic monitoring equipment and constant evaluation of the patient's hemodynamic status and vital signs. The Level I invasive technologist will also be required to manage the image during the procedure. Work is performed with considerable independence. Accurate record keeping and attention to detail are essential.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Graduate of school of Cardiovascular Technology or school of Radiologic Technology, or an advanced, comprehensive program of cardiaovascular specialization.
License/Certifications: RTs must be ARRT and have a current Maine license.
Experience: Clinical experience preferred but not required.
Sterile technique.
Strong computer skills, especially Windows.
