Overview:
We are looking to hire an accomplished Full-stack Engineer. You will be responsible for guiding a team of web developers to deliver a consumer experience that will be intuitive and engaging. The desired candidate will have an excellent understanding of web technology to deliver highly available websites with high transaction volumes.
Responsibilities:
Owns user experience for an internal tool DevCentral supporting the business developer groups.
Provides technical leadership to a small team of UX/UI developers managing UX deliverables (wireframes, workflows, prototypes, etc.).
Applies creative design, analytical and problem-solving skills to design around developer experiences that meet aesthetic, functional and technical requirements.
Has a strong grasp of integrating application front-ends with server-side code and Web Services / APIs.
Understanding of building scalable backend APIs in a microservice architecture in AWS.
Manage security and scalability of the DevCentral product through its lifecycle.
Promptly resolves design deficiencies and defects reported by key stakeholders and quality assurance resources.
Actively supports an agile approach and operates as a core member of an Agile Scrum team including interfacing with key business representatives.
Participates in all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, iteration planning, iteration demos and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience developing the UX for Web-based applications with progressively increasing responsibilities.
3+ years of experience in software development using object-oriented techniques with languages of Python or Java.
1+ years of experience leading project teams of Web Developers to produce dynamic consumer-facing products. Portfolio of work that displays these skills.
Understanding of multi-tier, client-side and server-side development patterns, tools, and technologies.
Experience with JavaScript/Typescript, React, Redux, HTML, CSS etc.
Extensive experience interfacing with Web Services, specifically REST APIs with JSON handling.
Experience and understanding of relational databases and caching solutions like MySQL and Redis.
Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome).
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment is required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, motivational and facilitation skills.
4 year degree in computer science, engineering, graphic design, or related discipline.
