What You'll Do in This Position

Responsible for execution of projects assigned by the Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager involving either start up or decommissioning projects. Provides management direction to the project team in planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and turnover of new projects or the decommissioning, disassembly, and disposal of assigned facilities. Assure project baselines/expectations are met. Assure project efforts are conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and requirements. Represent the project in presentations and meetings
Develop and manage project objectives to include scope, schedule, budget, quality, procurement, resource management, configuration, and risk management.
Direct and monitor day-to-day activities of assigned multi divisional project teams in the development and execution of project management baselines.
Coordinate and estimate project support schedules and budgets. Develop and maintain annual and projected budgets.
Analyze performance variables and baseline change proposals and determine their effect on the project. Draft and present impact statements to management and multi disciplined committees. Negotiate and implement corrective action.
Review technical project documentation for completeness and accuracy to insure strict quality standards. Insure project efforts are in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and requirements.
Prepare and present project status briefings to management, internal customers, federal officials and stakeholders.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require

Bachelor degree in an engineering, construction management or technical discipline

Other Qualifications

Project experience in regulatory driven environmental construction and deactivation and demolition

Qualifications We Desire

Bachelor's degree in business, management, project management, construction, or technical discipline is acceptable. RCRA/CERCLA project experience. Project management certificate preferred. Earned Value Management Experience or project performance reporting experience is preferred.

Related engineering and project management experience preferred.
Extensive knowledge of project management, scheduling, earned value techniques, environmental regulations, and chemical and/or nuclear facility operations.
Clear understanding of work hazards and safety programs.
