Minimum Qualifications
Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree with relevant experience is preferred; but, will consider an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
Formal training of Federal State Inspection Services (FSIS) procedures for peanut shelling and grading will be required. Position Summary The incumbent will perform all tasks in the advanced laboratory and field operations for peanut research production. They will obtain accurate yield and grade data from each plot and plant selection while maintaining genetic purity; supervise part-time students or farm labor; participate in every aspect of shelling, grading, weighing, and storage of numerous pod and seed samples of many different genotypes and plant selections. Additionally, the incumbent will produce and record data, summarize results, and develop reports as needed. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
