About This Role:




Design | Architectural Technology
The successful candidate will demonstrate interest and ability to teach architectural design studios. Entry-level studios require the ability to teach fundamental design skills, including spatial and formal composition, graphics, and modeling techniques, while upper-level studios require the ability to teach the design and technical skills necessary to resolve and document architectural intent from the urban scale to the detail. The successful candidate will collaborate in integrating their expertise into their design studio teaching. Demonstrated excellence in teaching architectural design studios across the curriculum is preferred.


The successful candidate will demonstrate interest and ability to teach one of our required lecture courses. An expertise in computational design, digital technologies, digital fabrication, architectural structures, or integrated design/building performance simulation is preferred. In addition, the successful candidate will have the interest and ability to develop and teach seminars in their area of expertise and will develop a research/creative agenda related to this expertise.

What You'll Need to Succeed:




Minimum Qualifications:



  • Terminal professional degree in Architecture (Post-baccalaureate MArch or equivalent).

  • Professional practice experience in architecture sufficient to have fulfilled the experience requirement for licensure.

  • Interest and ability to teach architectural design studios.

  • Interest and ability to teach one of our required lecture courses.

  • Interest and ability to develop and teach elective seminars in their area of expertise.

  • Interest and ability to develop a research/creative agenda related to their area of expertise.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Extensive and creative professional practice experience in architecture.

  • Architectural license.

  • Advanced degree in Architecture or related field.

  • Excellence in teaching architectural design studios across the curriculum.

  • Excellence in teaching computational design, digital technologies, digital fabrication, architectural structures, or integrated design/building performance simulation.

  • Established research/creative agenda.

  • Record of service to the academic and professional communities.
