Description

The District Manager is responsible for ensuring that all locations under their supervision are run in a safe, efficient, productive and profitable manner. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the selection and training of all management positions, the coordination of efficient scheduling of incoming and outgoing stock shipments and compliance at all locations with all company policies and procedures.

The District Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the work environment at all locations is conducive to both the personal and professional growth of all associates by incorporating both the Creed and Core Values into the day-to-day operations of each location.

Coverage for the following stores:
  • Bossier City
  • Euless
  • Garland
  • Hillsboro
  • Monroe
  • Pasadena

The successful District Manager will be capable of working with little or no direct supervision, be computer literate, will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be analytical, have good decision-making abilities, and is responsible for either performing or following-up on all delegated tasks. These include, but are not limited to the following;
  • Labor Control The District Manager will work with management team on scheduling and planning to control labor to company standards.
  • Merchandising The District Manager will work with management team to ensure each location is merchandised to company standards and that pricing and value communication is correct and meets company standards.
  • Well Stocked Locations The District Manager will work with management team on scheduling merchandise shipments, as well as communicate with Distribution and Shipping Department personnel on merchandise needs.
  • Driving profitable sales in every store in the district.
  • Maintain clean, neat well recovered and well stocked stores.
  • Fast, Friendly and Efficient check out.
  • High level of customer service in every store.
  • Maintain staffing to the model in every store.

In addition to the primary responsibilities listed above, the District Manager will also be responsible for the following:
  • Manager's Walk-Through - The District Manager is expected to ensure that at least one walk-thru is performed at each location daily and that a written plan of action to correct any issues is completed with assigned accountability and timelines for corrective action to be completed.
  • Markdowns - The District Manager will ensure that markdowns are completed in a timely manner and reflect current pricing and signage. Responsibilities in the area of markdowns also include evaluation of stock movement, analysis of sales and the suggesting of markdowns.
  • Auditing - The District Manager is expected to review safe logs, bank deposits and nightly sales reports for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Training - The District Manager will monitor training efforts to ensure all deadlines are complied with.


Requirements

Education and Experience
  • The successful applicant must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience

Skills and Competencies
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Interpersonal and people skills
  • Ability to multi-task


Work Hours and Benefits:
  • Full Time position
  • Frequent overnight travel is required

Salary Description

$70,000-$100,000 per year based on experience
