Reporting to the Regional Head of Merchandising, North America and based out of our office in New York, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to help shape the future growth of COS, build brand awareness and elevate our customer experience, contributing to our ambition to establish COS as a Sustainable International Power Brand in North America.

The Regional Merchandise Planner, will support the regionalized buying & reduction strategy for COS North America, ensuring we have the right buying, stock, and price per market while minimizing reductions. The Merchandise Planner is a senior role within the Merchandising function and will leverage their technical and commercial strength to achieve the business objectives.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to**

  • Increase top line selling and decrease reductions for the Region.
  • Fully own reduction strategy and planning for the Region.
  • Set accurate buying levels and follow up their development, ensuring to act frequently on selling tendencies within the Region.
  • Set Goal and initial allocation for the Region together with the Regional Head of Merchandising and Senior Supply Chain Merchandiser.
  • Serve as the expert on local market and competitor analysis, drive price analysis on every season level with Omni Concept Merchandiser
  • Drive & Coach Omni Concept Merchandiser in setting bottom-up sales goal on department level.
  • Drive the buying planning process inclusive of, but not limited to. monthly sales plan revisions with the team
  • Own and schedule month & quarterly buying follow up with division controller in Buying Office to ensure Buying Office goals and buying lands to Region plan.
  • Fully responsible for WSSI Reduction plan and buying budget.
  • Provide the percentage split between sales markets to ensure that each market receives the stock needed to drive their sales plan.
  • Support other projects from buying perspective based on Global direction when it comes to space optimization, store capacity project, external franchise buying.

  • 5+years of experience within merchandising, inventory optimization or supply and demand planning.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Strong in driving commercial product excellence.
  • Previous experience in executing commercial plan and in and post season stock management.
  • Understanding of products, stock and product lifecycle-management.
  • Highly analytical and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and peers.
  • Team player - flexible, motivated, open-minded and a fast learner

Compensation: Hiring range is $87,000 - $99,000 annually***

You will have the flexibility to work both remotely and, from the office. While remote working is an integral part of our part of our offer, approx. 3 days per week office presence will be required to foster strong collaborations and teamwork.
