ABOUT PLUMPJACK COLLECTION OF WINERIES:
The PlumpJack Collection of Wineries was formed in 2020 as the overarching brand for PlumpJack’s collection of Napa Valley Wineries. Each of our four wineries span the Napa Valley. Odette Estate located in the revered Stags Leap District gaining notoriety for producing the wine that won in 1973 at the Judgement of Paris. PlumpJack Winery located in the acclaimed Oakville AVA is home to some of the finest Cabernets in Napa Valley. CADE Estate Winery on Howell Mountain features unique, higher elevation terrain that produces distinctive characteristics due to its rocky, volcanic soil and cooler climate. Lastly, our 13th Vineyard is rooted in its history as the 13th bonded winery in California and is located adjacent to CADE Estate on Howell Mountain. All four feature award-winning estate wines and tasting experiences.

PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:

Manage and enhance the daily operations and growth of the Odette Estate Winery tasting room.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

Operations Management

  • Manage daily operations including opening, closing and cash accounting.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Hospitality Operations Manager to lead the tasting room towards achieving key business goals: wine sales, new customer acquisition, and membership-conversion.
  • Manage and respond to customer inquiries, suggestions, or complaints.

Personnel Management:

  • Hire, train, and manage tasting room staff, ensuring adherence to professional standards and company policies.
  • Foster an environment of teamwork and positive employee relations.
  • Conduct annual evaluations and ensure ongoing training and cross-training with other PJC wineries.

Financial and Administrative Management

  • Create and manage annual revenue and expense budgets for the tasting room.
  • Manage back office administrative duties, including inventory management, compliance, order entry, and customer service resolutions.
  • Manage relationships and contracts with external services providers such as janitorial and landscaping services.

Other Essential duties

  • Serve as an outreach brand ambassador, actively engaging with concierge to increase VIP visitor traffic.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; particularly valuable in Business Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a managerial role within retail or hospitality, demonstrating strong entrepreneurial, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Proven experience in handling revenue and expense budgeting.
  • Skilled in using Wine Direct and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to present to large groups.
  • Committed to high standards in production and customer service.
  • Ability to work weekends and adapt to a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Compensation details: 72000-77000 Yearly Salary
