Join our team at Staffmark as we seek a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's close-knit team in Dayton, Ohio, for a contract-to-hire position. Our client, a growing leader in the water/wastewater management industry, is committed to solution-based consulting and community support. As an integral part of our accounts payable team, you'll thrive in a collaborative environment that fosters teamwork.

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour (but will pay more based on experience)

Shift: First shift

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles
  • General knowledge of Job Costing
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Willingness to assist all departments on special projects as needed
  • Accounts Payable Experience
  • Any combination of experience, training, or education to perform the job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
  • Process project-related invoices
  • Enter Subcontracts and Large Purchase Orders
  • Ensure Purchase Order/Subcontract documentation compliance
  • Process and reconcile retainage requests
  • Compile weekly Open Payable Report
  • Check Runs
  • Sales Tax
  • Maintain and create spreadsheets
  • Provide general administrative support for departments
