The Role

Within the fast growing and everchanging cannabis industry, RISE has emerged as one of the industry's premier leaders in the retail dispensary landscape. With over 90 open locations and plans to scale beyond, we are in growth mode and looking for a strong marketer to join our team as Brand Manager, Regional Programming. Reporting to the Brand Director of RISE Dispensaries, you will lead three priority areas of the business that are crucial to the success of the RISE brand:

  • Developing new store opening communication and activation plans
  • Managing market expansions from medical customers to all adult-use customers
  • Providing support and guidance to regional marketing teams

To successfully accomplish these priorities, you will work cross-functionally with Retail Operations, Store Development, Visual Merchandising, Compliance, Brand Marketing, Regional Marketing, and eCommerce teams.

You will manage all aspects of the go-to-market plans, including creative development, compliance approvals, printing and fulfillment, training, and post-launch analysis. You need to be able to work in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment with a will-get-it-done-no-matter-the-obstacles attitude, tracking every detail along the way (we are a highly regulated industry).

Must be able to travel / work events, which may occur on evenings and/or weekends. Expected travel = 15-20%.

Responsibilities
  • Build new store opening plans for priority stores to drive location awareness and new customer brand loyalty. Partner with local marketing teams to ensure message relevancy and tactical executions exceed goals.
  • Manage all communication and activation plans for medical to adult-use market transitions to drive a seamless shopping experience for our patients and customers.
  • Lead the development and execution of local store marketing creative requests, ensuring all customer communications follow RISE Brand Standards and comply with local rules and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support for all local store marketing and communication plans working closely with internal creative and cross-functional teams as well as media and agency partners.
  • Be the "go to" for cross-functional partners that are looking for support with regional marketing initiatives and new store openings. Prepare and maintain clear and accurate communication and project documentation, project plans, status reports, internal meeting notes, change requests, resource requests, and critical next steps.
Qualifications
  • You have 5+ years of regional/local/field or unit level marketing You understand the give and take of a central support organization to the field operators.
  • You are fluent in project management tools, such as Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office.
  • You are able to adapt to a fast-paced, highly dynamic business environment.
  • You have experience managing complex projects and programs that have heavy dependencies requiring strong leadership to align multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • You have the ability to flex between high-level strategic thinking and tactical project management. You can paint a picture but are also willing to roll up your sleeves to make it happen.
  • You are analytically and commercially minded. You can translate sales and transaction data into actionable strategies and go-to-market plans that translate into meaningful business impact.
  • You have strong verbal and written communications skills. You can manage up as well as you can down, distilling complex ideas and recommendations into clearly understood narratives.
  • Must be able to travel / work events, which may occur on evenings and/or weekends.
  • Expected travel = 15-20%.
