Job Summary:

Senior Sourcing Specialistis responsible for establishing strategic direction and leading the development, management, and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned corporate categories. These could include, but are not limited to: energy subscription services, finance & accounting.

This position is primarily focused on managing costs, key supplier contracts, establishing core relationships, & owning business unit specific sourcing plans. Managing costs includes aligning with business units/budget owners on budget forecasts to present risk of increases & opportunities for decreases. This includes updating corporate trackers on contract renewals and RF(x) opportunities. Managing key supplier contracts includes redlining commercial terms in new agreements, working with other internal stakeholders on contract reviews & ensuring all supplier contracts are stored accurately. Managing relationships is focused on Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and ensuring strategic suppliers are aligned with internal stakeholders and meeting contractual commitments. Managing sourcing plans includes summarizing suppliers by category, assessing cost trends, and determining future opportunities to adjust the suppliers in the category to better align with internal desires and competitive market trends.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitors corporate, business unit, and industry activities to identify strategic sourcing opportunities, leading efforts to improve cost and quality and implement best practices.
  • Develops, manages, and implements strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned commodities or services categories.
  • Analyzes supplier and contract activity for cost savings, including financial analysis ensuring "Total Cost of Ownership" is considered.
  • Leads cross-functional teams for sourcing initiatives, guiding workflow, and developing project plans.
  • Negotiates strategic supplier contracts, managing corporate risk while achieving cost savings and performance goals.
  • Manages complex supplier relationships, focusing on financial, contractual, and performance levels.
  • Collaborates with business units to discuss future needs, resolve concerns, and identify areas for value enhancement.
  • Maintains compliance with strategic sourcing processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring internal and external regulations are followed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • HS Diploma and 3+ years of military experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering fields
  • 1 + years working with SAP applications
  • ISM Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)
  • Strong experience working with contracts
  • Strong negotiation skills

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Prior supply management experience with Corporate, IT, Marketing, Advertising, Call Center, or direct sales categories
  • Strong interpersonal, motivating and influencing skills for interacting with team members, business partners, suppliers, and management
  • Strong technical skills with required proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage workload with considerable independence
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for producing and communicating comprehensive and concise reports

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment.
  • Some overtime required as special projects arise.
  • Travel (minimal < 10 % of time)
