The Service Account Manager is responsible for the installation of assigned accounts while driving employee growth, performance, and meeting business objectives and metrics. This position will support our overall growing customer base while providing leadership and management to the team.

This position is full-time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional occasional overtime and weekends (October - December overtime is required on Saturdays between the hours of 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST). Our office is located at 6402 8th Ave, Suite #G101, Brooklyn, NY, 11220.

We offer weeks of paid on-the-job training. The hours of training will be during operation hours from Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Research issues and develop customers specific solutions
  • Provide in person Member services to both M&R and DSNP members with their languages at retail store, services including but not limited to:
    • Benefits
    • Policies, Procedures, and protocols (pre - auth, enrollments, renew rewards, etc.)
    • Claim / billing issues (follow up calls with resolution to identified issues in timely manner, outbound calls to provider offices if needed)
    • Fulfills material requests for Members
    • Translations (company letters, as interpreter to work with other vendors)
    • Asist members to apply for various government assistance programs, explore external non - profits organizations to provide help to needed Members
  • Medicare Sales and Enrollment Supports
  • Support Member experience and quality programs to improve Member satisfaction
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Provide expertise and customer service support to members, customers, and / or providers
  • Serve as the liaison to a complex customer base to manage first level response and resolution of escalated issues with external and internal customers
  • Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise, and judgment
  • Investigate claim and / or customer service issues as identified and communicate resolution to customers
  • Provide feedback to team members regarding improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of customer service experience with analyzing and solving customer problems
  • Multilingual fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
  • Ability to obtain Sales License within 6 months of employment
  • Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications
  • Ability to work any full-time (40 hours / week), 8-hour shift between the hours of 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST from Monday - Friday including the flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends based on business need (October - December overtime is required on Saturdays between the hours of 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST)
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of previous Management OR Supervisory experience
  • Intermediate level of experience with using Microsoft Access (create, edit, format, manipulate databases)
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Process improvement experience

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, understand information, and speak clearly and professionally

New York Residents Only: The hourly range for this is $23.22 - $45.43 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited tolocal labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
