JOB DESCRIPTION

Certified Insurance Sales Representative. In this role, you'll handle inbound inquiries from potential enrollees interested in our individual dental insurance offerings. Your primary responsibility is to engage with callers, discern their needs through thoughtful questioning, and provide tailored product recommendations accordingly. You'll adeptly outline plan details, including costs and benefits, ensuring clarity and transparency throughout the conversation. Your commitment extends beyond securing sales; you'll navigate any obstacles with finesse, finalize enrollments, and assist callers in setting up their plans and selecting payment options. Moreover, you'll serve as a trusted resource, fostering customer understanding, satisfaction, and loyalty through comprehensive education. Your role also involves seamlessly connecting members with the appropriate channels for issue resolution, reinforcing our dedication to exceptional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives inbound calls from potential clients seeking information on our individual dental insurance offerings.
  • Expertly recommends product options tailored to the unique needs of each customer.
  • Clearly articulates the various components of plan rates and benefits.
  • Efficiently completes sales transactions, ensuring all necessary information for application processing is obtained.
  • Assists customers in navigating different payment options, facilitating their choice and forwarding relevant details to our enrollment team.
  • Addresses electronic and written inquiries from prospects and leads in a timely manner.
  • Conducts eligibility verifications for specific insurance programs.
  • Utilizes reference materials promptly to provide accurate responses to inquiries, with a focus on driving sales and fostering customer loyalty.
  • Thoroughly documents each customer interaction and resolution in our designated computer tracking system.
  • Consistently meets and upholds production standards and key performance indicators.
  • Directs complex inquiries, such as enrollment and billing questions, to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Undertakes additional tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience w/High School
  • Insurance sales license, per state DOI regulations, e.g. Health, Accident, Sickness.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but candidates with proven experience will not be excluded from consideration.
  • One-year successful sales or retail work experience. Call center, or dental experience also accepted.
  • 2 year of proven sales performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle high call volume and follow workflow process.
  • Strong organizational/time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while evaluating and responding quickly and accurately to inquiries.
  • Ability to absorb and retain detailed information.
  • Detail-oriented; flexible and creative.
  • Knowledge of individual sales procedures and guidelines.
  • Adheres to phone and break schedule to maintain service levels.
  • Takes initiative to close sales, follow up and obtain referrals.
  • Maintains high sales performance and quality.
  • Retains or upgrade existing business at risk of cancelling
  • Health Insurance License in all 16 Enterprise States

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $33,200 - $60,500
