What You Can Expect

As our Business Development Manager I for Indirect Sales, you will manage third-party sales (indirect partner relationships) for ENGIE North America Inc.'s retail products to Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers. This role involves working with brokers and channel partners in multi-ISO markets. This role is based in Houston, TX, and reports to the Director of Key Partner Sales.

  • Establish and maintain broker relationships to acquire, retain, and grow business, exceeding set goals
  • Develop annual sales plans for brokers to increase regional commodity and renewable offerings sales
  • Present, negotiate, and structure complex commodity transactions effectively
  • Utilize knowledge of renewable offerings and deregulated energy markets to advance ENGIE's zero carbon targets and identify unique selling propositions
  • Coordinate internal processes and resources, collaborating with Supply for competitive feedback and to deliver expected results

What You'll Bring

  • You hold an Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
  • This early career position does not require prior experience, you will be expected to deliver high-quality work in a professional setting. While not mandatory, exposure to sales within the retail energy industry could be beneficial
  • You have experience with brokers/channel partners
  • You have strong communication skills, effective negotiation abilities, and experience interacting with executive-level decision-makers
  • You are a self-driven individual capable of quickly learning new products, processes, and systems
  • You will establish strong direct and indirect relationships to acquire and retain a book of business, meeting or exceeding goals
  • You hold good knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • You are proficient in establishing and managing broker relationships to achieve business objectives

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 20% of the time with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Salary Range: $53,900 - $76,125 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
