The Channel Manager acts as a liaison with sales and product marketing. This role will align go-to-market strategy with retailer objectives to drive end user take away at retail. The Channel Manager is an expert in their assigned category and channel. They will use their expertise to assist in successful product launches, deliver customer presentations, manage account profiles, monitor competitive retailer and retailer online activity, and form plans to increase market share.

Responsibilities

  • Category management analysis to improve strategies and plans
  • Communicate value propositions and training tools
  • Manage effective launch of new products, including communication and training
  • Develop tactical in-channel marketing plans, sales strategies, and materials for specific market needs
  • Partner with training organization to develop training tools including iPK training materials for existing and new products
  • Develop performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones
  • Utilize competitive trade promotion - field visits, market track analysis for product mix, promos., pkg., pricing, and TraQline
  • Develop and implement category and promo strategies (NLPs, rebates)
  • Monitor competitive promotional activity
  • Work with product and visual merchandising teams for in-store merchandising, displays and promos
  • Work closely with Product Marketing, Sales and Sales Administration to successfully execute new product and in-store display launches
  • Identify and establish distribution strategies including online opportunities
  • Develop and manage in-store collateral and Product Knowledge materials
  • Partner with Shared Services and approve activities to generate consumer demand with the end user (in-store, and retailer online)
  • Retail content including promotions for all online activities

Requirements/Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years experience in channel management or related roles
  • Experience in the consumer products industry is helpful
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • An analytical and data-based approach when making decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a clear and concise communication style (orally/written)
