PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
As a Coordinator Crew Resources you will work with Trainmen, Switchmen, Engineers, and Yardmasters to ensure they are given appropriate work assignments while ensuring timely and cost-effective deployment of crews to meet operational requirements.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
This position will provide training on how to call train and engine crews to work in accordance with collective bargaining agreements
Process reports and maintain computerized crew board through documentation of seniority moves, vacancies, personal leave, vacations, etc
This position is not a typical 40 hour-a-week opportunity. The position must be available for call 24 hours per day and able to work irregular hours, including holidays and weekends
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Prior railroad experience is not required we offer a paid training program
Knowledge of computer programs and software (Microsoft Office) and able to meet keyboarding standards established by the organization
Clear verbal and written communication skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to details and manage time efficiently
