Summary: Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President performs a variety of loan service duties and supervises the day to day processing of closed loans in the Consumer Loan Department and refers any problems, suggestions to the Assistant Vice President.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Respond daily to customer inquiries on existing loans, referring requests to the Loan Service Manager when needed.
  • Services and maintains all loans on bank portfolio based on customer needs
  • Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Processes loan payments and general ledger transactions
  • Quotes payoffs and prepare discharges on loans secured by real estate
  • Uploads closed loans to mortgage system and to storage database
  • Confirms accuracy of borrower and loan in bank's core processing system
  • Reviews all closing documents for completeness and accuracy. Advises attorney of any necessary changes to correct errors on final documents
  • Prepares and delivers original documentation to bank vault for safe keeping
  • Balances and processes escrow disbursements
  • Completes all yearly compliance training and testing and complies with bank, federal, and state regulations. Complies with Bank Policies and Procedures. Adheres to departmental and bank-wide service standards


Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: Generally requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills needed:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of consumer lending products and services.
  • Ability to provide guidance to junior members on team.
  • Ability to explain complicated loan policies and terms in a clear and understandable way.

Certifications, Licenses and/or registrations: N/A

Computer Skills: Knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
