Associate Account Executive - S&S Primary Special Risk - can be fully remote

Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Associate Account Executive to join our dynamic team in the S&S Primary Special Risk division within the Crum & Forster Insurance Brokers, Inc. area of Crum & Forster. As an Associate Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in supporting non-admitted primary general liability policies in the Excess and Surplus (E&S) space, working with wholesale brokers. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful execution of our strategies and the growth of our business.

Responsibilities

    Collaborate closely with Account Executives to evaluate and assess new business opportunities in alignment with our division's guidelines and strategies.
  • Effectively manage the renewal process for assigned policies, ensuring seamless transitions and maintaining strong relationships with our clients and brokers.
  • Skillfully process binders and endorsements within established timelines, accurately documenting all relevant information.
  • Coordinate and order loss control inspections for new and existing policies, ensuring timely scheduling and completion.
  • Develop a deep understanding of pricing models and assist in the preparation of competitive quote proposals to meet the needs of clients and brokers.
  • Continuously enhance your skills and industry knowledge through ongoing learning and participation in relevant training programs.
  • Support the resolution of accounting issues related to policies and provide exceptional service to address any inquiries from clients or brokers.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to projects aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including claims and risk management, to ensure comprehensive and well-rounded account solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions to provide informed insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all account activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A California Surplus Lines Broker License must be obtained and maintained at all times during employment with C&F.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, with a focus on primary general liability policies in the E&S space preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of surplus lines regulations and the wholesale broker distribution channel.
  • Pursuing insurance industry designations such as AINS, CPCU, CRIS, etc. are desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $39,800 to a maximum of $90,400. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
