Your Role With Us:

Engineering Compliance Analysts at Salem Health possess self-driven mindsets and acute attention to detail which serve to support development and implementation of written materials and tools designed to test and monitor Healthcare Institutions in accordance with federal, state, and other authorities to maintain compliance and continuous improvement.

Core Functions:

  • Performs complex operational analysis using productivity reporting software and other tools. Frequently combines disparate data sources into well-reasoned and comprehensive analyses.
  • Reviews regulatory communications applicable to the organization and department, ensuring that appropriate action is taken for quality assurance and performance improvement activities, compliance monitoring, auditing and required submission for assigned areas. Develops and drives compliance of safety within engineering operations. Communicates issues to supervisor as they arise.
  • Works with department leadership and staff to assess information and training needs. Monitors implementation of changes of regulatory guidelines for assigned areas as directed by supervisor.
  • Coordinates and performs ongoing internal monitoring for operational areas, including tracking compliance, contracts and implementing appropriate action as required, auditing work orders and procedures completed by department staff. Reports out deficiencies to supervisor.
  • Audits operational areas in accordance with annual work plan and at the direction of supervisor to determine compliance with requirements, including validation of data and internal controls. Summarizes results into graphs, tables and presentations.
  • Maintains detailed documentation of all processes used and work completed to satisfy regulatory compliance activities.
  • Coordinates and assists with preparation activities for regulatory site visits, trainings, reviews.
  • Assists in the implementation of new regulations or changes to existing regulations and development and revision of training materials.

    Background/Expertise:

    • Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration or Business Administration preferred.
    • Minimum of three (3) years experience performing data analysis compliance and audits.
    • CHFM preferred.
    • Strong computer skills including proficiency is word processing, spreadsheet and data base management skills required.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently
