Hampstead Hospital & Residential Treatment Facility (HHRTF) is an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital and a residential treatment program that treats children, adolescents, and young adults. HHRTF is located in a beautiful setting in southern New Hampshire that provides plenty of outdoor areas to play, walk, and promote well-being. Children deserve to have healthy and happy childhoods so that they can grow into wholesome and happy adults. The Psychiatric Registered Nurse in Hampstead provides professional nursing care to patients of varying ages who are experiencing psychiatric or substance abuse disorders. This involves conducting psychosocial, physical, and behavioral assessments, as well as providing behavioral therapies and interventions. The RN is responsible for carrying out these duties in accordance with ANA standards and within the New Hampshire Nurse Scope of Practice, while also delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel based on patient acuity and available resources.

(This role pays up to $52/hour)

Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate patients’ total needs, including physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, social, and economic, utilizing nursing care problems, interventions, and ANA Standards of Psychiatric Nursing Practice.
Document and report findings to the multidisciplinary team, provide patient/family education, and perform medical record documentation in accordance with Joint Commission and CMS standards.
Evaluate patients’ symptoms, progress towards goals, and outcomes of care, while promoting a culture of patient safety, reporting medical errors, and participating in safety training programs and Performance and Improvement activities.
Communicate effectively with nursing colleagues, multidisciplinary treatment team members, and other hospital departments.
Identify own learning needs and goals for professional growth and development, and implement a plan to meet these goals

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Experience

One (1) year recent psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.
Residential experience a plus.

Licenses/Certifications

Licensed in state of employment
CPR Certification (within 3 months of hire)
CPI Certification (within 3 months of hire)

Compliance

Corporate Compliance (within 2 months of hire)
