We have a Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm opening at our Canton office. The role of a Medical Biller requires three to five years of experience in medical billing with a focus on Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance. Denial work with OHCA is a plus!

The starting hourly rate for the Medical Biller is between $20-$24 an hour.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to use critical thinking skills in evaluating, analyzing and problem solving issues.
Organizational skills necessary to achieve promptness in meeting deadlines.
A thorough understanding of Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance payment process.
Ability to communicate clearly to interact with staff, clients, administration, and the community both in person and on the telephone.

Example of Position Responsibilities:

Work directly with the Service Code Management Consultant and the Agency Credentialing Specialist to determine the cause of daily denials.
Work with Clinical Staff members to determine the coding process that resulted in a denial.
Analyze daily system generated rejection and denial reports to prioritize the days tasks.
Attend weekly Denial Meetings with team members and update weekly Teams reports.

Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, walking up steps at housing facilities, lifting 25 pounds with or without accommodation.
