Hunter Truck is hiring! We are currently looking for a New & Used Truck Salesperson to join our energetic and committed team members at our Uniontown, PA location.

SUMMARY:

The primary function of the New & Used Truck Salesperson is to meet established sales goals for new and used truck sales through selling to existing customers and seeking out new customers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to present themselves professionally regardless of the audience.
  • Must have basic computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurability standards.
  • State Sales License – can be obtained upon hire
  • Commercial Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards
  • Must be able to drive across county and state lines.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Aggressively prospect for and build a business with new customers.
  • Work to maintain and build relationships with existing customers.
  • Make sales calls with self-provided dependable transportation.
  • Prepare proposals for new and used trucks.
  • Explain product performance, application, benefits, and return on investment to prospects.
  • Identifies and secures all pricing discounts, promotional marketing programs, and special rebate allowances.
  • Write complete sales orders, secure customer deposits, and process paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.
  • Turn over 100 percent of closed deals to the finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.)
  • Checks all pre-bills and confirms that specs match customer requirements.
  • Arrange for any post-factory work to be done prior to final delivery (body up fit, shop extras, detail, fuel, etc.)
  • Conduct truck delivery ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, licensing, and documentation.
  • Follow up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, “we-owes”, and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met.
  • Maintain a customer follow-up regimen that encourages repeat and feral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain 100% completion of online training. Attend product and sales training courses and meetings as requested by management.
  • Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction, responding to customer issues correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Know and understand federal, state, and local laws which govern retail truck sales.
  • Understand the terminology of the truck business and keep abreast of changes in product technology, regulatory changes, competitive offerings, features, accessories, etc.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly quotas for phone and in-person customer interactions and log them accordingly into the CRM system.
  • Understand and comply with The Hunter Family of Companies New and Used Truck Sales Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment.
