Exmark is now hiring a 1st shift Supervisor to oversee our Weld and Paint departments.

What Will You Do? 

The primary role of this position is to supervise and coordinate activities of individuals engaged in welding and painting parts.  

  • Insures all safety, quality, production, and budgetary standards are met or exceeded

  • Directly supervises employees in the weld and PCD (powder coat) departments on 1st shift

  • Performs front-line supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws 

  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; handling employee relation issues, and supporting the team environment

  • Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications, and directs setup and adjustments of machines

  • Monitor and regulate department supplies and budget

  • Studies production schedules and estimates hour requirements for completion of job assignment

  • Interprets specifications, blue prints, and job orders to assigns duties as appropriate

  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules

  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product

  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or crew

  • Maintains time and attendance records of direct reports

  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments

  • Identify and apply Lean methodologies to insure processes are scientifically controlled and continuously improved

  • Willingly performs other duties as assigned by manager

  

What Do You Need? 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. An associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred but not required; or 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
