About This Role:




This instructor position provides oversight for the Department of Clinical Sciences Community Outreach elective clinical rotation and service activities. This rotation has an average of 3 students and meets for a full week, typically 2 weeks monthly. When service, CO works with a variety of partner organizations where veterinary patient services are provided to vulnerable community members that may not otherwise receive veterinary services. Veterinary clinic services are provided throughout the state and region. The instructor leader has the primary responsibility of organizing service activities, student schedules and patient care activities. Often outreach services align with human health care providers that are on site for animal owner health services. Additional service details can be found at


In the past two years, approximately 60 students have participated on the rotation, 120 clinic days delivered and 5000+ pet families have received services.
