Interventional Radiology Locum Tenens in Pennsylvania
Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking highly skilled and dedicated Interventional Radiologists to join our dynamic radiology group on a full-time locum tenens position in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
This physician-owned practice proudly operates within a 450-bed hospital in Johnstown, PA. As a valued member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional radiology services and contributing to the high standard of patient care we uphold. Opportunity Specifics:
An independent 12-member Radiology group covering a 450-bed tertiary referral Trauma 1 center and 4 smaller hospitals looking for an Interventional Radiologist to join our growing and dynamic interventional service. Our service preforms the full gamut of interventional procedures from all bread and butter IR procedures to radioembolization, thermal ablation, TIPS, vererbro and kyphoplasty, and spine jack, arterial and venous stenting, pulmonary embolectomy and fibroid embolizations. We have a comprehensive varicose vein service, as well as a full IR clinic supported by 3 PAs. We have 2 Siemens Artis Zee procedure rooms, of which one is a bi-plane, with a third GE room under construction. This Regional Trauma 1 center with residency programs in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Surgery and Emergency Medicine. There are teaching programs in Nursing, Radiology Technology and Allied Health. A recently opened outpatient medical center has a full radiology footprint including a 3.0 Tesla and a 1.5 Tesla open MRI, two CT scanners, a GE 128-slice Revolution and a 40-slice CT, Ultrasound, as well as an ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.

Opportunity Specifics:

- Setting: Interventional Radiology
- Hours: Mon-Sun or Fri-Thur (7a-4p)
- Call in the Evenings
- Must be comfortable in a Level 1 Trauma Facility
- Procedures Include: Arterial embolization, radioembolization, thermal ablation, TIPS, vererbro and kyphoplasty, and spine jack , arterial and venous stenting, pulmonary embolectomy and fibroid embolizations
- Fast Credentialing
- PACS: Change PACS (Formerly McKesson) with Powerscribe
- Perform and interpret a wide range of Interventional imaging procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely diagnosis through expert analysis of imaging results.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of radiology protocols and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest advancements and technologies in interventional radiology.
- Supervise and mentor radiology staff as needed.
- Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards in radiology practice.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in peer review processes

Candidate Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Radiology.
- Pennsylvania State license
- Proven experience in Interventional radiology practice and level 1 trauma facilities
