We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented legal intern to join our legal department for the summer 2024. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate legal environment. This is a REMOTE position, but may require travel to corporate events/meetings.
Responsibilities:
Contract Drafting: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and editing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents under the guidance of senior legal staff.
Commercial and Corporate Law: Support the legal team in matters related to commercial transactions, corporate governance, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Human Resources: Assist with legal aspects of human resources, including employment law compliance, drafting employment agreements, and managing employee relations issues.
Legal Operations: Support legal operations initiatives, including process improvement projects, document management, and legal technology
implementations.
Ad Hoc Research: Conduct legal research on various topics as assigned and prepare summaries or memoranda for review by legal counsel.
Qualifications:
Current enrollment in an accredited law school program.
Strong academic record with coursework in contracts, commercial law, and employment law preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in legal research and writing.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Prior internship or work experience in a legal setting is a plus.
