Every day, our Registered Nurses deliver a level of excellence and compassionate care to our patients in the ICU.

Positions details:

  • Location: Morton Plant North Bay Hospital – Medical/Surgical ICU – New Port Richey, Florida
  • Status: Full Time
  • Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • On Call: No
  • Always in person

Requirements:

  • RN (Registered Nurse) License
  • Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
  • 1-year experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
  • BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – ICU responsibilities and skills:

  • Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
  • Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
  • Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
  • Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
  • Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
  • Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
  • Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
  • High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient 
  • Professional accountability and development
