The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patient populations for swallowing, speech-language, and therapy needs. 

• Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.
• Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress. Attends and participates in patient care coordination meetings, team and family conferences, as needed.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.
• Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.

Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit and much, much more. The Fauquier Health system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services including Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery. The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) (14 days to obtain for new hires)
Current Speech Pathologist License with the Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (VA)
