Summary:

The Manager, Corporate Communications, is responsible for helping lead various communication strategies to amplify the Lundbeck US story and advance the company's corporate reputation for both internal and external audiences in the US. This individual must be a strong content creator and will play a lead role in the development of corporate materials and digital content, including corporate social media, that build awareness of Lundbeck's unique brand attributes and reinforce its leadership in neuroscience. This individual will be a strong storyteller with multimedia (video, graphics, etc) experience to produce highly impactful content that drives stakeholder interest, social media engagement, media coverage and measurable engagement. The Manager, Corporate Communications, will also help lead employee engagement efforts internally as well as community relations and media monitoring/relations externally and will support the execution of communications tactics aligned to corporate strategic priorities.

Essential Functions:

Building Corporate Reputation

  • Provides sound communications counsel to key stakeholders and business partners
  • Designs and executes comprehensive multi-channel communication campaigns that effectively and engagingly tell the Lundbeck story through clear and compelling writing, digital graphics and/or video content
  • Manages US Communications editorial calendar, overseeing the scheduling and coordination of communication activities across the US
  • Leads holistic strategy and supporting tactics to manage Lundbeck's corporate reputation through US social media channels and online presence, including but not limited to overall channel strategy, developing organic and paid content campaigns, identifying and monitoring against KPIs and best pracitice benchmarks
  • Serves as corporate media and US website contact, triaging inquiries and ensuring resolution
  • Manages traditional media monitoring, producing reports for leadership and identifying key opportunities for earned media engagement
  • Manages creation and updating of corporate materials, media materials, corporate website and US newsroom
  • Upholds brand standards and ensures brand consistency across all corporate content in the US
  • Supports community relations efforts on behalf of the company and creates materials and content to showcase our community and charitabe giving efforts internally and externally
  • Serves as a key contact with our global Communications colleagues to ensure alignment and collaboration

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of Communications-related experience
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Content development experience across a variety of formats (digital, written long-form, video, graphics, etc.)
  • Experience managing corporate social media content and accounts
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Self-starter, able to work well as a member of a team, but also work independently with limited oversight

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree preferably in communications, English, journalism or related field
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device or healthcare industryor at an agency or consultancy supporting any of these industries.
  • Media monitoring and media relations experience
  • Ability to work well under pressure, and to deal well with competing priorities and a changing business environment
  • Proven ability to project manage and meet or exceed deadlines
  • Fast learner who is proactive and accountable
  • Experience creating graphics and videos in Canva, Final Cut Pro or other like programs
  • Experience with content management systems and email distribution platforms and Microsoft SharePoint and Outlook

Travel:

  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 5-10% domestically. International travel may be required
