Job Description
What you will be doing: Tool and Die Maker
Designing, constructing, and maintaining progressive dies used in mechanical power presses
Fabricating and repairing complex tooling to meet precise specifications
Collaborating with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements in die-making processes
Developing and constructing progressive dies and tools for the production of steel outlet boxes
Performing regular maintenance and repairs on progressive dies to ensure optimal performance and longevity
Inspecting completed parts and comparing to die specifications for accuracy and quality
Identifying and resolving problems to minimize downtime and maintain workflow
Working closely with engineering and the master die maker to improve die designs and enhance production efficiency
Following all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Managing materials used in die-making, ensuring proper storage and handling to maintain quality
Maintaining accurate records of die maintenance, repairs and modifications
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and die performance
Experience you will need: Tool and Die Maker
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Authorization to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
Residing within the immediate area of Washington, PA (50 miles)
Ability to machine and construct tooling to drawing specifications
Ability to read blueprint drawings
Ability to use manual lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
Familiarity with machining a variety of tool steel material and including D2, A2, and copper
Associate degree related to Tool and Machining or 3 years of experience as a die maker (preferred)
Experience in building die tooling for stamping/manufacturing processes (preferred)
Welding TIG/MIG experience (preferred)
Familiarity with steel heat treating process (preferred)
Our client asked me to submit 3 great people within the next few days. We work directly with the hiring manager and can arrange interviews within a few days
