Distribution Coordinator
Department of Property Control
Georgia State University
The Department of Property Control provides a wide variety of services to the university in various areas. Management of the Petit and Research Science Center Stockrooms; Acquisition of university vehicles and management of the fuel and maintenance programs; Surplus Operations with the redistribution and disposal of university equipment; Initiation of asset management and decaling of equipment identified as assets.
The Department of Property Control is looking to hire a Distribution Coordinator.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
The Distribution Coordinator will assist in the receiving, inspection, and preparation of inventory and non-inventory equipment/supplies for distribution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Applies proper techniques in the care and preservation of items received, stored, and distributed or redistributed.
- Cross references nomenclatures, part numbers and other information against purchase orders to verify accuracy.
- Maintains computer records of items delivered and received through an automated inventory system.
- Complies data from sources such as purchase orders, bill of laiding, and other accounting records to record receipt or disbursement of materials or supplies, and computing inventory balances.
- Generates and places asset decals on equipment considered as assets.
- Performs the receipt, storage, handling, and disposal of electronic surplus materials between departments and the surplus warehouse.
- Performs and assists in the movement of all electronic and asset surplus material including receiving, issuing and reporting any shortage, overage, or damage materials.
- Assists in the loading of surplus items on vendor's transport.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and three years of related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Good understanding of basic software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, browsing the internet, and managing files and folders.
