Overview









AIT is currently seeking a Forklift Operator II! This role will transfer goods and materials from incoming and outbound shipments via a forklift, in addition to moving materials throughout the warehouse.















Responsibilities









    Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered Forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse location
  • Able to operate standard lifting devices and other basic material handling equipment
  • Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials
  • Perform the following: loads, unloads and stacks materials onto lifting device, weighs material or products and records on production schedules.
  • Perform safety checks on lifts.
  • The ability to follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team.
  • Comply with all company policies and legal guidelines
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands are deemed necessary.

Other Skills We Hope to See:

  • High school degree / GED or Work equivalent required
  • 2-5 Years' Experience
  • Forklift Certification required
  • Must be dangerous goods certified
  • Reading and writing English, knowledge of airport codes destinations and basic geography knowledge.
  • Exhibits strong typing skills/or data entry skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace, high volume environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Actively participates in safety policies, activities and implementations

Physical and Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain certification in Forklift Operation
  • Minimum lifting of 50 Ibs for a duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
  • Required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but the employee should be capable of working in an open work space, closely with team members.
