Description

Job Summary: The Supervisor-Registration performs all supervisory duties with a strong emphasis on completeness, accuracy, customer satisfaction and with accordance to hospital and departmental policies, procedures and expectations. These services may be provided for both the LLUMC and LLUCH hospitals. Performs other duties as needed.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Two year hospital-based registration experience specializing in managed care, Medi-Cal, Medicare, and California Children's Services (with emphasis on Federal, State, and County eligibility regulations and requirements) is required.

Knowledge and Skills: Must be able to identify and contain any deficiencies in maintaining PHI and complying with HIPAA guidelines and compliance. Able to write legibly, speak English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to position (e.g.; Word, Excel, LLEAP, Ontrac,); operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the job; keyboard 35 wpm. Able to*relate positively, effectively and professionally with others, provide leadership and supervision, be consistent in following policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; teach and collaborate; accept direction; with work staff to ensure a Culture of Excellence in Customer Service is trained and reflected as part of an ongoing expectation. Essential Mental Abilities: Able to communicate effectively in English, in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently and with minimal supervision; show ability to be self-directed; perform basic math functions, manage multiple assignments effectively; compose written material; work well under pressure; possess excellent problem solving, analytical and investigational skills; organize and prioritize workload; good memory; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; write, hear, read and speak sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with workplace; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position
