W-Industries is seeking a Water/Wastewater Estimator with 4+ years of Industrial estimating experience to join our Field Services team located in NW Houston. The ideal candidate will have experience creating estimates for commercial, wastewater facilities, solar, and oil/gas facilities.

• Review industrial building plans to determine the electrical needs of purposed projects.
• Evaluates bid documents to determine overall scope of project.
• Determines all documentation required for bid submittal; determines who should review or contribute information necessary to complete bid.
• Reviews plans and specifications to identify types and grades of materials, what quotes to solicit, and what resources will be required to complete bid in compliance with project requirements and bid deadlines.
• May attend pre-bid meetings or job interviews as required.
• Contacts vendors and reviews plans and specifications to obtain vendor quotes.
• Reviews quoted bill of material for accuracy.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of tools and principals involved in production of electrical plans, blueprints and drawings.
• Experience with contract documents such as contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendum's, specifications and change orders.
• Knowledge of estimating principles and techniques.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Knowledge of suppliers and supplier data bases applicable to project specifications.

Required Experience & Education

• Water/Wastewater facility and Industrial facility experience a must
• 4+ years minimum experience estimating in industrial construction.
• Additional electrical field experience a plus.
• A high school education or equivalent GED.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk.
• Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking.
• Some lifting (up to 30 lbs.). Long hours on computer keyboard.
