As our Mail Sorting Officer, you’ll be working at a Delivery Centre where you’ll be responsible for manually sorting mail in preparation for delivery the next day. You’ll play a key role in supporting our Posties, who provide a vital service to our local community every single day. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be working together with a friendly team of like-minded people, and your community relies on you, and it doesn’t get better than that!
You’ll be
Working efficiently individually or in a team to manually sort mail into logical street, number and into an appropriate round
Lifting and handling heavy parcels and bags of mail regularly
Required to use manual pallet jacks and stackers to receive and despatch large volume of mail
Provided initial and ongoing training with senior team members who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development
About you
You are flexible with working additional hours if required
You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly
Experience operating manual pallet jacks or stackers is advantageous but not mandatory

What your day may look like
• Obtains soil and leaf samples for the sales team.
• Checks all crops for insects, diseases and weeds.
• Maintains insect traps and monitors them on a timely schedule.
• Records and files daily reports on all crops.
• Inputs records and reports into the computer system to monitor results.
• Makes small deliveries.
• May be required to drive a company vehicle as needed.
• Maintains vehicle.
• Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
• Reliable and regular attendance is expected.
Education and experience needed for this position
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Agricultural background is preferred.
• Must pass a drug test and background check.
• Valid U.S. driver's license is required.
Other skills that will help you succeed
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand, and sit. You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
