Job Description:US Electrical Services Inc., a leading electrical supplies distributor, is seeking an experienced and motivated Continuous Improvement Specialist with a focus on warehousing operations. This role is critical in supporting our ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce costs throughout our warehousing operations.
Responsibilities:Analyze and assess current warehousing processes to identify areas for improvement. Utilize the A3 and Obeya process to understand problems, analyze root causes, and devise sustainable solutions. Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of improvements. Lead and assist cross-functional teams with a3 continuous improvement projects. Implement cost reduction initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and overall profitability. Work closely with warehouse management and operations teams to implement process improvements. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with company objectives. Utilize data analytics and other tools to drive data-based decision making. Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures. Provide monthly report outs and presentations on project status and improvement results to senior management. Develop and implement labor management strategies, including workforce planning, productivity analysis, and performance-based incentives, to optimize the utilization and efficiency of warehouse personnel. Potential travel to other CDCs within 200 mi (Landover, MD)
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree: Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in continuous improvement, operations, or process engineering in a warehousing/logistics environment. Strong knowledge and experience with the A3 process is a plus. Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a similar continuous improvement methodology is preferred. Proven track record in leading successful continuous improvement projects and cost reduction initiatives. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams.
