Cisco is seeking to fill a Solutions Engineer, Campus Automation role in support of Cisco's Network Transformation solutions portfolio covering the America's. As part of the Campus Automation Center of Excellence (CoE), areas of focus include:

  • Campus Automation, Orchestration and Assurance
  • A secure, in-office experience from anywhere
  • Platform telemetry and visibility
  • Network Programmability, Platform and Portfolio Integrations
  • Smart Buildings, Digital Transformation, and the journey to Cloud
  • Solutions that are simple to consume and easy to run
What You'll Do

You will work with the Americas Network Transformation organization as a Technical Solutions Architect in the Campus Automation Center of Excellence (CoE). You will conduct technical presentations, set up demonstrations and explain features and benefits to customers. You will form relationships with our customer's key decision- makers, positioning Cisco solutions aligned accurately to their business and technical requirements. As an advisor to the customer, you will craft highly secure, cross- architecture solutions to meet their specific needs.

Additionally, you will need knowledge of and to keep up to date on networking trends and software enablement, API's and Network Programmability. You will work with a variety of technologies and will therefore need strong cross-functional teamwork and consultative skills. The capacity to demonstrate technical solutions and capabilities effectively and conduct multi-architectural Proof-of-Concept (PoC) tests is a must. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Supporting direct sellers on opportunities
  • Understanding customer requirements and mapping technical solutions to meet the needs
  • Network design from edge to cloud
  • Deep product and solution knowledge: Product positioning, differentiation across solutions, operational characteristics
  • Performing product demo and Proof of Concept (PoC) labs
  • Maintaining competitive knowledge to strategically position Cisco's products and services
  • Following market transition and industry trends to anticipate customer needs
  • Aligning cross-functionally to various business entities and teams across the company
  • Creating content, demos and labs in support of and delivering customer training events
  • Be self-motivated, constantly learning and working with peer TSAs and other thought leaders in the company
Who You Will Work With

The Campus Automation TSA will work with Enterprise Networking Product Sales Specialists (PSS), account teams, partners, and other cross-functional teams to drive Cisco Enterprise Networking brand preference with our customers. Working directly with customers, the TSA will capture detailed knowledge of requirements and provide recommendations for the best products and solutions to achieve the desired business outcomes. The TSA also collaborates with the various platform teams for prioritizing and influencing features and capabilities roadmap to meet growing customer demands.

Who You Are

The Campus Automation TSA has a passion for technology and zeal for customer interaction! This is a pre-sales, technical role passionate about architectural selling covering customers from all verticals and segments in the America's. Ideal candidate has experience in architecting and supporting campus, branch, mobility, and IoT with a strong focus on secure access and controller-based campus architectures. You should excel in communicating technical architectures, solutions and products to key decision- makers from Managers to Directors and above. They should be comfortable speaking publicly to both small and large audiences.

Desired Skills and Qualification
  • 7+ years of proven experience supporting and securing LAN access infrastructures
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Extensive skills and knowledge in network design and management including secure access, Catalyst switching, Network Segmentation technologies (VRF, MPLS, ZeroTrust, SDA, 802.1x)
  • Understanding of competitive products such as HPE/Aruba, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet
  • Knowledge in Automation, Orchestration and Programmability technologies
  • Typically requires BS/BA (preferably EE/CS) or equivalent
  • Cisco and non-Cisco Certifications a plus (CCIE, CCDE, CCNP, DevNet, AWS, Google, Terraform)
  • Pre-sales experience highly recommended
