Schedule: Monday to Friday, First Shift
Compensation: 27.38 per hour

About the Role:

We're seeking a Machine Operation Technician to join our Engineering Test Lab team in Chula Vista, CA. This role is integral to our assembly and fabrication operations, focusing on the creation of test articles, rigs, and fixtures. You'll play a key role in ensuring our engineering tests are supported with precision and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities:

• Layout, fabricate, and assemble test articles for certification and engineering development.

• Work with engineering drawings and sketches to craft and assemble mounting provisions and testing aids.

• Utilize precision instruments and standard shop tools effectively.

• Apply your skills in machining, drilling, grinding, and fabrication to support testing needs.

• Operate pneumatic hand tools safely and proficiently.

Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in various machining operations, including conventional, CNC, and honing machines.

• 7+ years of experience in tooling, maintenance, and modification of production parts.

• Strong understanding of shop practices, material machinability, and the application of shop mathematics.

• A commitment to upholding environmental, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Team Collaboration and Safety:

• Collaborate with assembly technicians, machinists, and CNC programmers to plan and execute operations efficiently.

• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety standards and maintaining a clean workspace.

• Utilize overhead cranes and other equipment, adhering to best safety practices.

Pay Details: 27.38 per hour
