Position Purpose:

Performs product inspection audits and ensures that quality standards are conformed to per company and customer criteria.

Essential Duties:

Provides general Quality department support
• Inspects all questionable raw materials before the raw materials enter the production process
• Determines whether questionable raw material falls within standards and specifications or if material requires discarding
• Documents non-conforming materials and prepares data and photographs
• Assist Quality Manager in reviewing document control process, work instructions, conducting internal process audits, and any other ISO 9001:2015 requirements for maintaining certification.
• Works with internal and external customers
• Audits WIP and finished goods
• Assists in the ongoing training effort to build quality into the manufacturing process
• Sets example for peers in quality and safety
• Assists in creating visual aids to help eliminate questions regarding product packaging or foam qualities
• Follow 5s and Safety policies and procedures
• Assists in meeting productivity standards by completing work quickly and accurately
• Other duties, as assigned

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• A minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training in quality position, or equivalent combination of 1 year foam manufacturing/ fabrication experience or combined education and experience
• SAP experience a plus
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
• Excellent computer skills strongly recommended - Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
• Willingness and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Education / Certifications:

• High School Diploma and/ or equivalent required

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the wearing of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) consisting of eye protection while on the production floor as well as hearing protection in designated areas.
