Role Summary / Purpose

The Inventory Control Manager, overseeing all U.S. locations, plays a pivotal role in managing the inventory accuracy at each of the sites. Responsible for ensuring accurate counts to relay availability of materials to support production schedules and cross dock customer shipments. This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple locations and departments.


Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for inventory control management to support business goals and objectives across all U.S. operations.
  2. Oversee inventory management activities for cycle counting and inventory accuracy for optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  3. Implement and maintain inventory control processes and systems to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance to documented requirements.
  4. Collaborate with sales, product management, finance, production, planning, and purchasing teams to provide ad hoc count details.
  5. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline materials management processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  6. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure materials management performance supporting inventory turns, fill rates, and on-time delivery.
  7. Lead and develop the material control team, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure high performance and employee engagement.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in materials management, and recommend innovations to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.
Requirements:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS


1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials management, supply chain management, or operations management roles, with a history of increasing responsibility and achievement.

3. Strong understanding of materials management principles, processes, and best practices, with experience in inventory control and management.

4. Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and develop teams and drive results.

5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights and recommendations.

6. Effective communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

7. Proficiency in using materials management systems and tools, such as ERP systems and/or inventory management software.

8. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

9. Willingness to travel to visit company locations as needed.
