Job DescriptionDescription:

Develop, maintain and improve manufacturing process plans for the production of precision machine components and assemblies. Incorporate safety, environmental and ergonomic into all process development and machine specifications. Support Masterbilt's business goals and objectives by focusing on safety, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

Essential Functions

· Fluent understanding of all machine shop equipment and function/capabilities.

· Develops machining process by studying work orders, part blueprints, materials, specifications, engineering plans, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

· Utilizes CAD/CAM software for part modeling, process drawing development.

· Develops and maintains process documentation including: PFMEAs, flow charts, process sheets, operator standard work instructions and visual controls.

· Develops fixturing for proper work holding on various Lathes and Mills.

· Maintains specifications by observing operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, analyzing and improving tools, while always adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

· Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

· Maintains equipment by defining preventive maintenance requirements, including manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs where necessary.

· Documents actions by completing MRP, production, and quality documentation.

· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

· Design mechanical fixtures/mechanisms with emphasis on power transmission, bearing systems, Pneumatic and Servo drive systems.

· Act as liaison between customer, vendor, and internal departments.

· Travel 20%% to other Divisions.

Physical Demands

Other Information

· Normal work hours 7:00AM – 3:30PM

· This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
