Purpose

LaForce is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Technician to receive, separate and palletize hardware and other specialties products for the proper job.

Major Responsibilities

  • Check in hardware and other non-hardware items such as furniture, paper products, office products, etc.
  • Re key locks (cut and stamp keys)
  • Forklift operation
  • Label hardware per receiving sheet and separate for each specific job
  • Pull stock for sales orders

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • No experience is necessary; however, 2-4 years is preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
  • Drivers licensed preferred
  • Drug Screen, background and driver's license check

Physical Demands

  • Employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; grip up to 25# force, pinch up to 4# force.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50#, carry up to 50#, push/pull 60#, climb up to 20 steps
  • The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and wet and or humid conditions.
