Level 1 $29.45 New hire with Associates degree or achieves qualification
Level 2 $31.37 New hire with relevant Bachelor's degree or successful completion of additional subject matter expertise assessment (18-month tenure minimum in role)
Level 3 $33.50 Successful completion of additional subject matter expertise panel assessment (3-year tenure minimum in role)

Description of Job Duties:
Executes daily work assignments in line with all company procedures and safety policies. Maintains a safe environment for all personnel.
Performs safety equipment and equipment inspections per procedures as well as performs minor maintenance work as needed.
Analyzes products for purity conformance to specifications and mixture products for conformance to specifications.
Test and certify incoming raw materials for production.
Performs analysis, LTS, and data entry with a high degree of accuracy and pace needed to meet shipments.
Performs MCA studies successfully and other special analyses as required by supervisor, lead or management.
Keeps work areas organized and a high standard of housekeeping in all assigned areas.
Maintains analytical equipment and tools in a safe working order.
Completes all required documentation and records in a neat and orderly fashion following good documentation practices including Laboratory Notebooks, Samplemanager and CRM.
Interfaces with the data systems used at Matheson to complete work.
Addresses clerical issues that arise in order for products to be successfully shipped to customers.
Performs routine maintenance and calibration on analytical equipment.
Troubleshoot and dismantle defective equipment and install new or repair equipment and/or parts.
Perform other work as assigned.
Update work instructions and procedures.
Member of emergency response team, if required.

Qualifications / Necessary Skills:
BS Chemistry or related science degree preferred or a minimum requirement of 2-years related analytical experience.
Must have strong math and computer skills with strong written and verbal skills.
Able to read and understand elements of a chromatogram and understands LTS requirements for successful completion of analysis work.
Problem solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot a variety of issues and complete a root cause analysis.
Strong team work skills and personal commitment to safety and quality.
Must be able to ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs, lift 50lbs, stand on his/her feet for extended periods of time and be physically flexible including bending, rotating, and kneeling.
Must be able to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as Level A suit, full face respirator, SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus), safety glasses, steel toed shoes, Tyvek, hearing protection and gloves.
